While looking through Tanya’s Christmas I came across a recipe called, Orange Chocolate Tear-and-Share Cookie. They looked amazing, so I thought I’d attempt to bake them myself. However, I slightly changed the ingredients. Instead of using orange-flavoured chocolate I used chocolate orange. The prep time is about 10-15 minutes, and the cooking time is about 16 minutes.
Things you will need:
200g Unsalted Butter
300g Caster Sugar
1 Large Egg
320g Self-raising Flour
30g Cocoa Powder
Dash of Milk (optional)
320g Chocolate Orange
Heat the oven to 200°C
Mix together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Then mix in the egg.
Put the self-raising flour and cocoa powder into the mixture, and mix it all together. Add a bit of milk if the mixture looks dry.
Use your hands to mix the chocolate orange pieces into the dough.
Put the mixture into a baking tray. Flatten it so it’s about 1.5cm thick. Don’t put the mixture right to the edge (the cookies will spread in the oven).
Put them into the oven for 16 minutes. Once out leave them to cool for about 20 minutes before eating them.
Let me know if you try out the recipe!!
